About Mandarmani
Mandarmani is one of the longest beaches in West Bengal, a smooth stretch of sand about 30 km before Digha. It is quieter and more resort-style than Digha: the beach is lined with sea-facing hotels, and at low tide thousands of tiny red crabs scuttle across the sand.
It is the place for a relaxed weekend: morning walks, water sports, seafood dinners and long sunsets. Tajpur and Shankarpur, with fishing boats and a harbour, are close by, and Digha is a short drive away.
